How pregnancy changes the income test
Pennsylvania WIC adds one person to your household size for each unborn baby. A pregnant woman living alone with one baby on the way uses the limit for a household of 2: $40,034 a year in the table effective July 1, 2026. Check the full table.
What to bring
Bring identity and income proof, and the proof of pregnancy your clinic asks for. Your doctor can complete the state Women's Referral Form, which Pennsylvania WIC publishes for health care providers.
After the baby is born
Call the clinic after delivery to add your baby. Breastfeeding women can stay on WIC up to one year after birth; women who are not breastfeeding, up to six months.
